As the first American Black Belt produced by Gracie Barra, as well as the second American black belt to close out at Worlds, Alberto Crane is used to making history. He moved to Brazil to learn BJJ at a time when that was the only way to learn Jiu Jitsu, he fought in MMA as it was evolving to the sport it is now, and even earned himself a fight in the UFC. Now, still an active competitor, Professor Crane concentrates on teaching the next generation of practitioners, keeping himself and his students updated on the newest techniques, including the 50/0 guard, a DVD he’ll be releasing soon.
